PALINOMORFOS DE LA FORMACION MELO (PERMICO INFERIOR) DE URUGUAY

Resumen

The pollen content of a section of the Melo Formation of Arroyo Seco, Dept. Rivera, Uruguay, is presented. The stratigraphic column is divided in two parts: a lower continental one and an upper marine one. The former is again divided in two episodes, the basal and with similar percentages of Sporites and Pollenites and the upper one with strong dominance of Sporites. In the marine sequence also two episodes, based on different types of Mycrislhridillnl could also be recognized.
